Tips are not necessary in restaurants, since the check already includes a 10% service charge plus a 15% tax. We recommend giving bellboys and the cleaning personnel a tip of around 0.50 euros and between 1 and 5 euros per day to tourist guides.

Taxi drivers generally do not receive a tip.

Also there is a 13% sales tax at hotels, restaurants, and most service industries, and an additional 3% tourist tax at hotels.
